TOOTHACHE AND EMERGENCY DENTISTRY
We understand that toothaches are very unpleasant, so you don’t need to suffer from pain any longer; make an appointment before the problem gets worse – all emergency patients are welcome!
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Root canal therapy is a sequence of treatments that are used to eliminate infection from the pulp of a tooth, and are carried out to essentially ‘save’ it. It is required when the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected and inflamed, generally due to trauma, tooth cracks and fractures, or decay and cavities that allow microorganisms access to the pulp chamber or the root canal.
DENTAL IMPLANTS
Implants are a great alternative for patients who are missing individual teeth or wearing dentures. Because they are so much like natural teeth, most people are unable to detect that they even exist; they enable talking, laughing, eating and chewing with confidence. The procedure involves the initial placement, and then a healing process that usually takes three months, before they can be completed by restoration with crowns.
FALSE TEETH (DENTURES)
Have you lost your teeth for a period of time? We offer a free consultation and provide options for replacing missing teeth and closing gaps, to help restore your smile and the functionality of your teeth.
CROWNS AND BRIDGES
We work closely with a local ceramist on developing our high-quality crowns. With up-to-date professional expertise and a meticulous technique, they provide our patients with excellent results, both functionally and aesthetically.
COSMETIC DENTISTRY
Tooth-coloured filling material is available in two different types: composite resin and ceramic. Dental veneers are thin ‘shells,’ made of tooth-coloured material, and crafted in a dental laboratory to micro fit over the front side of your teeth. Please contact us for further enquiries on this treatment.
BRACES (CONVENTIONAL AND INVISIBLE)
These removable aligners are made of clear, strong medical-grade plastic, and are worn for approximately two weeks each. They are then replaced by the next aligner in the series, until the final position and desired result is achieved.
INVISALIGN
Invisalign technology works by using the latest advances in 3D computer imaging to create a treatment plan, by morphing teeth from their initial position to their desired final position.
WHITENING FROM $699
Our dentist will assess the suitability of your teeth for our 45-minute Phillips Zoom whitening treatment. Over time, the natural ageing process and lifestyle habits (such as smoking and drinking coffee, tea, red wine or soft drinks) can stain and discolour teeth.
WISDOM TOOTH EXTRACTION
The last to emerge in the mouth, wisdom teeth do not have to be extracted when they align properly and the surrounding gum tissue is healthy. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. The extraction of wisdom teeth is needed when they cannot properly emerge, or erupt, from the gums. They may grow sideways, emerge only partially, or even remain trapped beneath the gum and bone.
GUM DISEASE TREATMENT AND AFTER-CARE
Periodontitis is an irreversible condition, and can therefore be treated, but not cured. It involves the permanent deterioration in the quality of tooth attachment and support. Treatment aims at preventing advancement of this condition, and involves some restoration of the connection between the gums and teeth; it also significantly reduces bleeding, gum sensitivity and bad breath.
JAW PAIN
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) acts like a sliding hinge that connects the jawbone to the skull. The exact cause of a TMJ disorder is often difficult to determine: pain may be due to a combination of problems, such as arthritis or a jaw injury. Also, while some people with jaw pain tend to clench or grind their teeth, many others habitually clench their teeth and never develop TMJ disorders.
